I just felt like blogging before I start writing this research paper for school soooo... here we go.
Have you ever find yourself in a battle between your logic and your flesh? I don't mean being sexually attracted to some douche bag man or woman- I'm sure EVERYONE has reflected that situation before. How about the other way around? Picture this. You met this guy or girl whose personality meshes with yours, however, he or she is about 20-30 pounds out his or her weight range. Or, maybe, this great person has some socially unacceptable face. I know some of you might believe you probably would give them a chance. Some people claim looks doesn't matter to them. I believe most people wish it doesn't matter but for the majority of us, it does.
There, probably is someone in your network of friends (maybe even within your inner circle) who you probably never considered- your mind dismissed that notion from the start- and you see him or her as 'just-a-friend'. Think of random guy Joe 'no car' Johnson- great guy but you won't be getting your conch snack delivered (my empathy). Isn't it sad that he is chosen not by his merits, but, by his current situation. Or maybe Megyn 'water shape' Mortimer. Well I should use the name Meg... Let's say Sandra 'two waist' Sweeting. Yes, she is fat; but, she is the only one who put that smile on you face when the SKINNY BITCH is being a bitch.
Like the holy Barack Obama said: Don't let perfect be the enemy of the necessary (or something like that). We need to stop being shallow idealist and accept that person who is more likely to satisfy us mentally and emotionally instead of flesh-driven, lust-driven criteria.
Bye blog! Hope I see you soon!
